At the German-Polish Senior Citizens' Academy on Tuesday, October 14, cardiologist Prof. Dr. med. Alexander Wutzler will speak on the topic "Treatment of atrial fibrillation – How good are the chances and what do I have to pay attention to?" The lecture will be simultaneously interpreted into Polish.

This year's motto for the nationwide Mental Health Week is "Let confidence grow - mentally strong for the future". The focus will be on the target group of young people in particular and preventative and psychosocial services will be highlighted.

Three East German women get drunk and found the ideal state ... and then they come to the Theater am Rand. On Sunday, October 12, Wenke Seemann, Annett Gröschner and Peggy Mädler will read from their acclaimed book. It is the start of the author reading series "So far, so near".

Drei Eichen invites you to the clay oven day: the oven will be fired up in the morning and the first treats from the oven and grill can be expected from 12 noon. The house opens up for a polyphonic experience of music, dance, puppet theater and concert. The city of Słubice invites the citizens of Słubice and Frankfurt (Oder) to celebrate the opening of the new observation tower, which is reminiscent of the historic "Kleist Tower", on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

"Celebrating the common source – forging the bond of peace"! This is the motto for the festive service to mark the 900th anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of Lebus. It will take place on Sunday, September 28 at 2 p.m. in Fürstenwald Cathedral, the old episcopal church of the diocese.

How is antisemitism dealt with in European legal systems? What insights can legal practice and comparative perspectives provide for combating discrimination? A new database as part of the "Seeing Antisemitism Through Law" project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) provides insight into around 1,000 court cases and will be presented on Thursday, September 25 at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder).

The culturally diverse city of Łódź is the focus of a border talk on Wednesday, September 24 in the Senate Hall of the European University Viadrina. Theater scholar Prof. Dr. Karolina Prykowska-Michalak from the University of Łódź will talk about famous and lesser-known cultural approaches to her city in her lecture entitled "Theo, wir fahr'n nach Lodz – Annäherungen an eine Stadt".

The Radio Industry Festival for Art and the Present is currently taking place for the third time at the Woltersdorfer Schleuse, a hotspot for art and radio in the state of Brandenburg. The art and community radio station will be broadcasting a varied program of radio plays, features, sound art and discussions until 21 September.

The Theaterhaus Kleist Forum in Frankfurt (Oder) is presenting a virtuoso epoch painting about "Love in Times of Hate" between 1929 and 1939 on September 21. In the musical-scenic reading based on Florian Illies' bestseller of the same name, Julia Jäger, Thomas Rühmann, Anne-Catrin Wahls and Michael Kühl lend their voices to the prominent protagonists of the time, accompanied by Wolfgang Torkler on the piano.

On Sunday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the traditional Nature Park Farm Festival will take place at Burg Storkow. Around 45 traders and 15 food stalls will be offering products from Brandenburg and various delicacies at the regional market. On Thursday, September 18, 2025, Hannelore Skirde will give the lecture "The city of Lebus and the Lebuser Land - Part 2: Death blow for the diocese" at 4 p.m. in the Museum Viadrina (Kurfürstensaal in the Junkerhaus). What do upheavals do to a city and how can futures be shaped? Researchers, artists and activists will come together from Monday, August 18 for the two-week Viadrinicum summer school at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). In several workshops, the participants will explore the twin city and develop their own projects and ideas from a documentary and urban planning perspective. The public is also invited to help shape several events.

Until August 31, the railroad theater Das Letzte Kleinod is taking a journey back in time with "JACQUELINE" to the school days and growing up of young people in the GDR. Before the performance on Sunday, August 10, the team around director Jens-Erwin Siemssen invites you to a discussion with contemporary witnesses.

With the melodies of the Oscar-winning "West Side Story", musical genius Leonard Bernstein is the focus of the concert on 9 August in Frankfurt's Lennépark. The following day at 11 a.m., Anouchka and Katharina Hack will play pieces by female composers on cello and piano. "All men become... sisters" is the title of their program, which ranges from Fanny Hensel to Alicia Keys.

The IHK Ostbrandenburg, together with the Mittelstandsverein Storkow, invites you to its 7th Casual Friday on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5 p.m. at the Hirschluch youth education center in Storkow (Mark) – for networking between local entrepreneurs, politics and administration.

From August 3 to 30, the "Klassik ohne Grenzen" festival offers a total of eight concerts in the most beautiful parks in the twin city of Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice under the open sky and with free admission. The accompanying culinary offerings will tempt you to picnic in the countryside. Presenters from Antenne Brandenburg will guide you through the program. After the concerts, professional park tours invite you to rediscover Anger, Gertrauden, Lienau and Lenné Park.

In addition to the Viadrina's summer events, there are also the exhibitions "Modernization blockades in the economy and science of the GDR", "Where is this East Germany actually located?" and "Some were neighbors: perpetration, followership and resistance" to explore.

An illuminated façade has already cast the abandoned school building in Bischofstraße in Frankfurt (Oder) in a new light, arousing curiosity and anticipation about what will happen inside. For the performance "JACQUELINE", the doors and windows of the empty school will be reopened from August 5 to 31 and life will return to the corridors and classrooms, at least temporarily.

The Hof-Theater Bad Freienwalde will once again be entertaining and cheerful in August: this year's summer comedy is entitled "The Legend of the Hot Summer" and takes the audience back to the atmosphere of times gone by with musical charm. The performances take place in the auditorium of the Hof-Theater – a cultural highlight for a successful summer evening.

On Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Day of Architecture will take place nationwide. This year's motto is "Building Diversity". The historic town hall in Frankfurt (Oder) can also be visited as part of this event.
