
The Protestant church district of Oderland-Spree invites organ players, piano players and other interested parties to a summer organ course in Seelow from 11 to 18 July 2026.
Participants can expect
- a historic Bryceson organ in Seelow, a new Wegscheider organ in Friedersdorf and a freshly restored Sauer organ from 1924 in the Schinkelkirche Neuhardenberg
- great premises incl. kitchens in the Seelow town church as our main location
- digital sacral organs from Kisselbach as practice instruments
- daily individual lessons in the churches
- daily work on the pieces you bring with you, chorales and hymns
- exciting lectures
- inspirations to improvise intonations and chorale preludes
- Individual lessons in accompanying the new songs in the EG supplement and Singt! Jubilate as well as singing and rehearsing new songs together
- the first successful encounter with playing the organ for other musicians among you who are not yet "keyboard tigers", e.g. wind players, brass players, choir members, choir members and other musicians. Wind players, violinists
- a half-day organ excursion
- an excursion to an organ building company
- playing music together on all instruments, that you can and want to play
- a good community with people who have the same hobby.

The course begins on 11 July 2026 at 4:30 p.m. sharp in the Seelow town church and ends on 18 July at around 2 p.m. Please check in at the respective accommodation on 11 July 2026 before the start of the course. From 4 p.m. coffee and tea will be available for you in the church.
In Seelow and the surrounding villages there are hotels, guesthouses and holiday flats to choose from. Bookings must be made directly by the participants. It is highly recommended to book a hotel or guesthouse close to the community centre, especially if you are not mobile. In Seelow there is also the possibility of free accommodation if required. There are several moderately priced restaurants in the vicinity of the church. In the Seelow church there is the possibility to cook, have food delivered and store your own purchases in the fridge.
The day begins and ends with a joint prayer in the church. Individual lessons usually take place in the morning. In the afternoon before the lectures, people will meet for coffee or tea.
