On the road by bus and train

The central rail artery is the RE1, which runs three times an hour in both directions between Eisenhüttenstadt, Berlin and Magdeburg. The RB26 from Berlin via Strausberg goes as far as Kostrzyn nad Odrą in Poland. The connection to Berlin's public transportation network is excellent. The three PlusBus lines open up the area and guarantee hourly intervals and connections to the train even on weekends.

Biking in ODERLAND-SPREE

An excellently developed network of cycle paths, bicycle-friendly towns, a wide range of services for cycling: it is not without reason that the Oder-Spree Lake District has been a certified RadReiseRegion since 2015. Signposted theme tours are available in all route lengths and levels of difficulty. As an e-bike-friendly region, many providers offer free battery charging, and e-bikes can also be rented.

Fast to Poland

The connection of ODERLAND-SPREE to the neighboring country Poland is ensured along the common border via the following bridges and ferries from north to south:

  • European bridge Bienenwerder - Siekierki
  • Ferry Güstebieser Loose - Gozdowice
  • Motorway bridge A12/A2 near Frankfurt (Oder)
  • Bridge "Neiße Welle" Coschen - Zytowan

In addition, soon a new crossing possibility of the Oder with the ferry at Aurith - Urad will go into operation.
