From 11 to 12 September 2026, Bad Freienwalde invites you to its traditional Old Town Festival! The historic town centre is transformed into a colourful festival site with a varied programme for young and old.
The market square forms the musical heart of the Old Town Festival. In Feuerwehrgasse, the atmosphere is lively and full of energy, with rock-style live music and fire brigade demonstrations. Look forward to musical highlights such as Misha Kovar, the ‘Weitersagen-Show’, the Gebrüder L, the ‘Rockenden Fünf’ and the ‘Oderdammis’. Culture, art and a cosy get-together take centre stage in the concert hall. The historic Uchtenhagen Courtyard offers an atmospheric setting for enjoyable live evenings.
As well as a varied programme of live performances, visitors can look forward to a traditional funfair, the cosy autumn lounge and plenty of exciting activities in the alleys and courtyards of the spa town, including colourful market stalls and the sports enthusiasts’ meet-up.
A real sporting highlight away from the main festival site awaits sports enthusiasts on Saturday morning from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm at the ski jump. At the German Ski Association’s (DSV) Nordcup, Germany’s best young talents will showcase their skills on the country’s northernmost ski jump, providing some thrilling sporting moments.
