The two-month format is currently the only event platform for regionality in Germany that makes regions with all their stakeholders and potential visible and regionality tangible. The events, markets, excursions, webinars and trips that take place annually on and around Thanksgiving Sunday for the Day of the Regions are bundled on an online platform.

From 26.09.25 to 18.10.25, the Friedrich-Wolf-Theater will host BallhausWoche for the 4th time. The row seating has been removed and the theater is once again transformed into a loungy variety show, a sophisticated dance hall. The audience sits at tables in the stalls and drinks are served. Or you can choose a seat in the tier with the best view of the stage and the enchanted hall. During BallhausWoche, the Friedrich-Wolf-Theater naturally presents events that exude a special charm in this atmosphere.

This year's motto for the nationwide Mental Health Week is "Let confidence grow - mentally strong for the future". The focus will be on the target group of young people in particular and preventative and psychosocial services will be highlighted.

On Wednesday, October 15, 4 p.m., a Viadrina Debate will take place for the first time. The topic of the first edition of the new event series is "Shifting power through AI: who benefits, who loses?"

Henryk Bereska is a still underestimated East German translator and poet, critical thinker and initiator of the intellectual debate on Polish literature in Germany. To mark the 20th anniversary of his death this year and the 100th anniversary of his birth next year, the Karl Dedecius Foundation of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) is organizing a personal and literary evening of remembrance for Henryk Bereska on Wednesday, 15 October.

Together with the Digital Angel, the mobile advice team for digital issues from Deutschland sicher im Netz e.V., the Frankfurt-Słubice Cooperation Center is organizing an information event on the topic of "Smartphones and tablets – basics for older people".

The European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) welcomes its new students. Following the induction week, the lecture period for the winter semester 2025/26 begins on Monday, October 13. With numerous public events on currently relevant social topics, the researchers at the European University are also addressing interested visitors from the region.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the short guided tour "Founders, Goldsmiths and Dignitaries" on "Silver of the Neumark" with Dr. Sonja Michaels will take place at 4 p.m. in the Viadrina Museum. The new cabinet exhibition in the baroque "Odersaal" of the Junkerhaus takes visitors into the world of the 17th and 18th centuries.

The fifth network meeting of the Brandenburg Venues project will take place on October 15, 2025 at Beeskow Castle. With this project, the association not only wants to bring together the association's artists and groups with Brandenburg event organizers, but also work with them and regional cultural administrations to get to the bottom of the conditions for a prosperous artistic and cultural landscape in Brandenburg.

On Thursday, October 16, beginners will learn step by step how to create their first open educational resources. Open educational resources (OER) offer the opportunity to freely share, use and further develop teaching and learning materials.

In the Viadrina Museum, Dr. Agnieszka Lindenhayn-Fiedorowicz follows the traces of a forgotten cultural landscape.

Mario Clemens and Dr. Christian Hochmuth from the Institute for Conflict Management at the European University Viadrina are offering a discussion on Thursday, October 16, on conflict management as a challenge at universities. They will discuss cases in which tensions arise at universities between the right to freedom of expression and the need for protection from discriminatory positions.

PlantAge is celebrating the pumpkin festival and harvest time at the vegetable field in Markendorf, a district of Frankfurt (Oder). Visitors can look forward to a wonderful day full of enjoyment, fellowship and campfires with the whole family, as well as guided tours of the field, pumpkin carving, face painting for children, pumpkin soup, bread and drinks and farm sales.

On October 25, young people aged 18 and over will get their money's worth in Frankfurt's exhibition halls. LIVExTECHNO combines indie live bands with techno DJs on two floors. The highlight will be a performance by Ritter Lean. The Berlin rapper has been inspiring audiences with his relentless lyrics, positive energy and danceable hits since his first single "Einsame Insel".

On November 5, 2025, the 14th Day of the Preschool Child will take place in the auditorium of the "Erich Kästner" elementary school from 4:00 p.m. The event is aimed specifically at parents. Childcare will be provided by the elementary school's after-school care center. Various experts with many years of experience with preschool children have been recruited for the day of action and will also answer individual questions after the workshops.
