Fifth anniversary at the Kulturfabrik Fürstenwalde
When researchers don't sit in a lab or library, but instead make an audience laugh on stage on a Friday evening, it's time again for the Brandenburg Science Slam! For the fifth time now, the presence centre is inviting scientists from all over Brandenburg to the Kulturfabrik in Fürstenwalde.
In short ten-minute presentations, they will put their research topic in the spotlight and try to win over the audience with creativity and charm.

This year's Science Slam is being organised in cooperation with the Fake News Festival of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). The Fake News Festival brings together academics, practitioners and the public to shed light on disinformation, artificial intelligence and the future of our information society from different perspectives. As part of the festival, a workshop on "Vibe Coding: AI-supported storytelling against fake news" will take place on 19 June before the science slam at 4.30 pm in the Kulturfabrik. Based on findings from attitude change research, Dr Linda Walter and Simon Liedtke will show why disinformation has an emotional and identity-related effect – and how constructive stories can build bridges.
Participation in the festival is free of charge. Registration for the workshop in Fürstenwalde takes place separately via the attendance centre at WORKSHOP: Vibe Coding: AI-supported storytelling against fake news.
