Among the 23 TOP cities in the world

"IronHutCity" - Eisenhüttenstadt has also been known by this name in the USA since Tom Hanks' visit. GEO magazine recently named the city with the largest area monument in Germany as one of the 23 TOP cities worldwide. Tom Hanks' trabant ride through "IronHutCity" can be experienced here.

We are doing very well here, we feel good - the lakes, the nature, that we have the city on the one hand, but also the countryside so close together on the other. Then the international with Poland we find really good.

Cooking workshop for children at the family center

The family center in the MehrGenerationenHaus MIKADO at Franz-Mehring-Straße 20 will be running a six-week "Educational Cooking" course for children aged six to ten from April 2024. The aim is not to achieve the perfect cooking result, but to allow children to get to know lots of different foods and taste sensations and to help decide what they want to try and process.
