Welcome to ODERLAND-SPREE
Our region is characterized by its central location between the metropolis of Berlin and Poland, the Baltic Sea and south-eastern Europe. Innovation and tradition come together in our existing economic landscape. Companies with a long-standing tradition and newly established ones, we believe highly innovative companies complement each other in terms of products and services and shape our successful business location. One prominent example is the automotive industry: the establishment of the Tesla Gigafactory in Grünheide (Mark) is an outstanding opportunity for our region. The supra-regional significance and economic knock-on effects will have a long-lasting positive impact on our economy.
As being a part of the capital region, we are seeing an increasing interest in companies locating here and are happy to welcome more innovative companies to our region. We also support the development and expansion of the companies and businesses based here. We promote and manage the creation of additional jobs and the influx of skilled workers and their families as well as the resulting necessary expansion of infrastructure. Together with cities and municipalities, economic players, the state of Brandenburg and our neighbors Berlin and Poland, we are continuously expanding our ODERLAND-SPREE business location – with strong industries and a high quality of life.
A successful business location also includes attractive residential and leisure facilities. Our ODERLAND-SPREE region offers varied nature, a diverse cultural life, places steeped in history, attractive housing options and a modern educational infrastructure. All in all, our region is characterized by a high quality of life and leisure activities. This is reflected in the positive population development of recent years.
Our most important signature feature might be our established and successful networking. Throughout the region, players are available for economic cooperation, development and research projects. The short distance here is indeed short: we maintain personal communication of information and contacts in various exchange formats.
Our brochure "Economic region between Berlin and Poland" provides those interested in settling here and potential investors as well as companies already based in the region with an overview of the areas of business, education and leisure. We look forward to meeting you in person in our region soon.
