Whether you take the A400 to the Schlaubetal valley or the Oderbus 879 to the river – there's plenty to discover.

On Children's Day, the dancers from the Ulrika Lang Ballet School impressively presented their skills in their annual public performance at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum. Based on Peter Tchaikovsky's ballet "Sleeping Beauty", the sold-out show was an experience for all participants, relatives, friends and theater fans.

A few days before the HanseStadtFest "Bunter Hering", the StadtSportBund Frankfurt (Oder) e.V., together with the "Street Football" project of the Brandenburg Sports Youth in the Brandenburg State Sports Association and Messe und Veranstaltungs GmbH, will transform Brunnenplatz into a special kind of football pitch. From July 8 to 9, 2024, teams of three people will have the opportunity to compete against each other in different categories in tournaments lasting at least six minutes on at least six soccer courts.

The Viaphoniker will open the spa concerts in Bad Saarow on Saturday, June 8. The university orchestra will play a one-hour concert in the garden of the Scharwenka House at Moorstraße 3 in Bad Saarow from 4.00 pm.

The Frankfurt cityKUNST & HANDWERK invites you to an enjoyable summer weekend on June 8 and 9, 2024 from 10 a.m. More than 30 regional suppliers will be presenting their handmade pottery and other handicrafts along the Magistrale. There will also be numerous workshops for interested visitors.

From Thursday, June 6, prospective students will have the opportunity to take a look at university life at the European University as part of the taster course. Until July 7, they can attend a wide range of courses from the Faculty of Cultural Studies, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law. In addition, there will be guided tours of the campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays during this period.

The second weekend in June is traditionally marked by the Landpartie in Brandenburg. For the 29th time, farm gates, stable doors and inns will be wide open on June 8 and 9 to give visitors a glimpse behind the scenes of agriculture and rural life. Seenland Oder-Spree is also preparing for this weekend and those interested need to plan well to be able to visit the more than 20 participants in Brandenburg's largest travel region on both days.

Since March 2024, the Oderland control center has been working with the interpreting hotline of the Berlin-based company Triaphon. By using the hotline, ten other languages in addition to English can now be covered when handling emergency calls. This means that the type of emergency can be determined quickly and appropriate assistance can be organized effectively.

The "Career Compass 2024", the largest training and job fair in East Brandenburg, which took place on 24/25 May in and around the Giebelseehalle in Petershagen, attracted an even larger number of interested parties this year than last year. Hundreds of visitors, most of them 9th–12th grade students, flocked to the fairgrounds as soon as it opened to find out about their career options and make contact with potential employers.
