Delegation trip to the International Hanseatic Day of Modern Times 2024 in Gdańsk (Danzig)

Applications open until April 7: This summer, a joint delegation from Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice will once again set off to represent the Hanseatic twin city at the most important Hanseatic meeting of modern times. Interested citizens from both cities are invited to join the travel group and become part of the Hanseatic togetherness in the middle of the historic old town of Gdansk.

Earth Hour 2024 also in the twin city

On Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 8.30 p.m., people all over the world will symbolically switch off the lights for one hour. Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice are also taking part in this "Earth Hour". The lights on the buildings of the European University Viadrina and the Collegium Polonicum will be switched off.

An opportunist makes a career: Klaus Mann's "Mephisto" at the Kleist Forum

With "Mephisto", Frankfurt's Kleist Forum is presenting a substantial theatrical version of Klaus Mann's novel of the same name on March 23 and 24. The guest performance by the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam tells the story of a German everyman who has to choose between career and ideals and succumbs to the fascination of evil. Half an hour before the performance begins, there will be an introduction to the play in the foyer with dramaturge Christopher Hanf.
