On Easter Saturday, the Oderbus starts the season with a new audio guide

In one hour relaxed through the Oderbruch! This is possible again this year, every Saturday with the Oderbus.

The traditional excursion line 879 starts on April 8, Easter Saturday, in the new season. Point 8.35 o'clock begins at the Moorbad in Bad Freienwalde the first trip, which ends exactly one hour and 30 stations later at the station Wriezen. From there it goes then for the first time at 9.45 o'clock back to Bad Freienwalde. In total, the Oderbus runs four times in both directions every Saturday until October 7.

On the way there is not only much to see, but also a lot to hear.

"The first trip of each month is accompanied by one of our tour guides, who provides competent and entertaining information about the country and its people," says Ilka Krüger, the managing director of Bad Freienwalde Tourismus GmbH.

But also the passengers of the other tours do not have to do without this information. Because for the first time in the history of the Oderbus, a special audio guide was developed for the excursion line.

"All that is required is a cell phone," explains Heiko Walther-Kämpfe, who was instrumental in creating the audio guide, "via a QR code, which can be found on the flyer and in the bus, among other things, the entertaining information is played directly as you pass the individual stations."

This gives users of the Oderbus an informative overview of the charming and extensive region, whose highlights include the Theater am Rand in Zollbrücke and the colonist village of Neulietzegöricke, as well as the half-timbered church in Altwustrow and the Fontane House in Schiffmühle, which, incidentally, starts its new season on Easter Sunday.

"We are pleased with the good cooperation of all those involved," says Ilka Krüger, who is grateful not only for the support of the Märkisch-Oderland district and the towns of Bad Freienwalde and Wriezen. "Above all, the Barnimer Busgesellschaft bbg-eberswalde.de and the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg vbb.de have a large share in the attractiveness of the popular excursion line."

So the timetable is coordinated with connections to regional trains and other transport options. In Wriezen, for example, there is a connection to the Plus bus, which goes to Strausberg and should therefore be of particular interest to guests from Berlin.
