Efficient use of energy, conservation of resources and a focus on the common good - even small and medium-sized enterprises in the region can no longer avoid these demands. The transfer office of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) invites entrepreneurs on Thursday, April 27, from 14.30 clock to the event "Sustainability in the company", which is precisely about these aspects of successful business. Interested parties can follow lectures by experts and come into conversation with other entrepreneurs.

Participation is free of charge.

Registrations are possible until Monday, April 17, by mail:

Scientific input will be provided by Prof. Dr. Simone Maxand, who will speak on "Sustainability in Theory and Practice" to kick off the event. Prof. Dr. Simone Maxand has been a junior professor of statistics at Viadrina since April 2022 and conducts research on statistical methods and their application in the field of climate economics and sustainability. Other contributions from the field deal with topics such as circular economy, efficient energy use in companies, and the common good economy.

The event will conclude with a student-organized panel discussion titled "Profit versus Planet?" with all participants. It will be moderated by the "Students for Climate Justice," an initiative founded at the Viadrina to promote sustainable climate policy, and the "Viadrina Consulting Group," a student-run consulting firm.
