The European University is hosting the tenth Viadrinicum Summer School from Monday, August 19, to Sunday, September 1. This year, students, young researchers, civil society actors, artists and cultural professionals will come together to discuss the topic of "Urban Collaboratory. Constructing Learning Infrastructures" in Frankfurt (Oder).

How are future designs for a city created? And who can take part? From Monday, August 12 to Sunday, August 18, the FutureLab will be the place to think about and discuss these questions. In the run-up to the Viadrinicum summer school, the FutureLab will be the third time this year that a place has been created to encourage discussion about these questions. There will also be live music and film screenings.

By October 15, 2024, companies can apply for the marketing award in the categories of direct marketing, food industry and rural and nature tourism. Applications in the first two categories can take part in the competition for the EDEKA Regional Award at the same time.

The Christian Encounter Days – the Central European Church Congress in Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice – took place from June 7 to 9, 2024 under the motto "Nothing can divide us". Two films about these special days provide a retrospective with numerous personal impressions.

Positive response to the call for entries for the village competition in the district of Märkisch-Oderland: a total of five villages applied for this year's district village competition. Until June 28, 2024, municipalities and districts could register to take part in the 12th district competition "Our village has a future". These will be visited and evaluated by the evaluation committee in September 2024.

On Monday, July 15, 2024 at 6.30 p.m., the bands of the Frankfurt (Oder) Music School will be performing at the Kulturmanufaktur Gerstenberg at the end of the school year. The Salted Snails play a mixture of their own songs and cover versions. They make music with vocals, violins, guitar, bass and drums in a large line-up. The bands Ocean's 5 and Take All also bring their own and well-known songs to the stage.
