WirtschaftsWoche, together with main sponsor Generali, premium partner Lavazza, partner BVMW and scientific partner Handelsblatt Research Institute, is looking for Germany's most sustainable companies in 2024 with the aim of recognizing medium-sized pioneers in the field of corporate sustainability.

In the exhibition, ten people who study and work at the Viadrina have their say. They tell their stories, what moves them, what they wish for, what ideas they have for the future of the Viadrina so that the university is a place where everyone enjoys studying and working.

The Christian Encounter Days – the Central European Church Congress in Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice – took place from June 7 to 9, 2024 under the motto "Nothing can divide us". Two films about these special days provide a retrospective with numerous personal impressions.

The main requirements for submission are that the proposed project has a recognizable objective, is to be implemented within 2025 and falls within the remit of the city of Frankfurt (Oder). All residents of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) aged seven and over are eligible to take part.

Positive response to the call for entries for the village competition in the district of Märkisch-Oderland: a total of five villages applied for this year's district village competition. Until June 28, 2024, municipalities and districts could register to take part in the 12th district competition "Our village has a future". These will be visited and evaluated by the evaluation committee in September 2024.

On Monday, July 15, 2024 at 6.30 p.m., the bands of the Frankfurt (Oder) Music School will be performing at the Kulturmanufaktur Gerstenberg at the end of the school year. The Salted Snails play a mixture of their own songs and cover versions. They make music with vocals, violins, guitar, bass and drums in a large line-up. The bands Ocean's 5 and Take All also bring their own and well-known songs to the stage.

City cycling is a competition in which the aim is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way for 21 days. It doesn't matter whether someone already cycles every day or has rarely cycled before. Every kilometer counts – especially if it would otherwise have been covered by car. This year, the competition will take place from September 8 to 28, 2024. Municipalities and sports associations are cordially invited to join the district.

The German and Polish governments attach particular importance to the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) in the area of German-Polish academic cooperation. In the German-Polish Action Plan, which was adopted by both governments in Warsaw on Tuesday, July 2, the European University, Adam Mickiewicz University Poznań and the joint institution Collegium Polonicum are specifically named as role models.

The Civil Protection Network enables a comprehensive approach in crisis and disaster situations, supports the exchange of innovative ideas and promotes cohesion among civil protection stakeholders. The network meeting offers municipalities, hospitals and aid organizations a mutual exchange, creative food for thought and its further development, process optimizations and supports the maintenance of contacts in order to prepare those involved for the major challenges.

For all children and teenagers spending their summer vacations in the city, 32 Frankfurt youth facilities, clubs, companies and cultural education institutions have organized a varied vacation programme with a range of offers. 92 activities and events invite you to spend eventful vacation days. These include sporting activities, excursions, time for relaxation and mindfulness, canoe trips, graffiti activities, music on Frankfurt playgrounds and media projects.
