With the melodies of the Oscar-winning "West Side Story", musical genius Leonard Bernstein is the focus of the concert on 9 August in Frankfurt's Lennépark. The following day at 11 a.m., Anouchka and Katharina Hack will play pieces by female composers on cello and piano. "All men become... sisters" is the title of their program, which ranges from Fanny Hensel to Alicia Keys.

Until August 31, the railroad theater Das Letzte Kleinod is taking a journey back in time with "JACQUELINE" to the school days and growing up of young people in the GDR. The Hof-Theater Bad Freienwalde will once again be entertaining and cheerful in August: this year's summer comedy is entitled "The Legend of the Hot Summer" and takes the audience back to the atmosphere of times gone by with musical charm. Frankfurt's new beginning in sources – The challenges facing the city administration after the end of the Second World War were enormous: a burnt-down city center, an evacuated population that was reluctant to return to Frankfurt, masses of prisoners of war, refugees and displaced persons, as well as an impaired economy and infrastructure. Added to this was the implementation of orders from the Soviet military administration.

From August 3 to 30, the "Klassik ohne Grenzen" festival offers a total of eight concerts in the most beautiful parks in the twin city of Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice under the open sky and with free admission.
