Wim Jonas Niemand from Neuenhagen and Friederike Schick from Altlandsberg accepted an unusual invitation to perform at the Nikolaisaal Potsdam on December 6. On December 11, 2024, Wilfried Harald Lausch, the former plant manager of the city of Frankfurt (Oder)'s own sports center, was honored with an entry in the city's Golden Book on the occasion of his retirement. The district of Märkisch-Oderland has a fire department technical center (FTZ) with an integrated disaster control warehouse to fulfill the tasks of supra-local fire protection and supra-local assistance. The Unithea theater festival will celebrate its 25th edition in the twin city of Frankfurt (Oder) – Słubice on June 13 and 14, 2025. Following the positive response to the diverse performances this year, a team of students and employees of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) is currently working on the preparations for next year's anniversary edition.
