In the state of Brandenburg, young farmers can receive a business start-up grant if they set up or buy an agricultural business or take over a farm as part of a transfer within or outside the family.
In the webinar on December 4, 2025, 7:00 p.m., Björn Hallmann from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Consumer Protection (MLEUV) of the state of Brandenburg will present the business start-up grant. In a 30-minute presentation, he will explain who is eligible for funding, what requirements must be met, the current application conditions and deadlines and what you should pay particular attention to when applying.
In addition, he will discuss the typical mistakes to avoid, how the funding is paid out, which funds are currently available, when the next selection date is and how the selection process works.
In the second part, gardener Maria Natt will report on her practical experience: she will describe her experiences with the establishment grant, explain the requirements she had to meet, describe the application process and show how she used the funding in her business.
After the presentations, there will be ample opportunity to ask questions and discuss individual concerns.
