Regional value creation for the bioeconomy: the RegBio2B project presents its experiences and findings

For three years, researchers from the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF), together with other partners, have been supporting four organic value-chain networks in Brandenburg, identifying success factors, challenges and future scenarios. On 27 August 2026, from 10 am to 12 noon, the research team will present the findings of the RegBio2B project in a Zoom conference.

Film workshop for young people at the Parkclub Fürstenwalde – just 3 places left!

Once again this year, the Film University Babelsberg’s popular Children’s Film University is touring Brandenburg. During the week from 3 August to 8 August 2026, the popular film workshop for young people aged 13 to 16 will take place at the Parkclub Fürstenwalde. During the six-day workshop, participants will be guided by two film professionals from the Babelsberg Film University as they bring their own small film project to life.

“Companies with outstanding career guidance 2026” honoured

On 2 July 2026 in Bernau, the East Brandenburg Chambers of Commerce and the ‘Netzwerk Zukunft’ network honoured 19 businesses, companies and organisations that are actively involved in careers guidance and had been nominated by schools. These entrepreneurs are particularly committed to providing career and higher education guidance in their home regions; they offer school pupils work experience placements or company tours and present their apprenticeship programmes at secondary schools and grammar schools.

The Brandenburg Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVBB) has launched a campaign to attract new GPs to Frankfurt (Oder). As part of this, the KVBB is offering a grant of up to 55,000 euros to GPs who set up a new practice in Frankfurt (Oder). The KVBB also offers further support.
