Lukas Senn is to become the new artistic director at the BSOF

Lukas Senn is to become Artistic Director of the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt (BSOF) for the 2027/2028 season. He will thus succeed Roland Ott, who has led the BSOF since 2018. Lukas Senn, who was born in Switzerland, has been the orchestra director at the BSOF since 2024, where his responsibilities include operational management. In this role, he has already played a key part in shaping the orchestra’s strategic and organisational development.

More young people are choosing a career in the skilled trades

454 new apprenticeship contracts signed – over 170 apprenticeship places still available for last-minute applicants: The skilled trades sector in East Brandenburg has got off to a successful start to the new apprenticeship year. By the end of June, a total of 454 new in-company apprenticeship contracts had been signed in the Frankfurt (Oder) Chamber of Skilled Trades’ district – the East Brandenburg region. At the same time, there are still very good prospects for young people who have not yet found an apprenticeship place to make a successful start to their working lives.

Alcaro continues to invest in its Frankfurt (Oder) site – planning application submitted for a new warehouse

On 10 July, the city of Frankfurt (Oder) received a planning application for a new project by Alcaro. According to the application, the logistics and property company will continue to invest in the expansion of its Frankfurt (Oder) site and plans to build a new warehouse. This Hall C is to cover an area of 20,000 square metres and be built on a 40,000-square-metre plot.
