Poor mood in the tourism industry

IHK economic survey: Uncertainties about the future overshadow the entire tourism industry in the state of Brandenburg, which cannot draw a positive conclusion for the summer season this year. "Compared to last year, the assessment of the current business situation has deteriorated significantly," explains Ina Hänsel, President of the Potsdam Chamber of Industry and Commerce, on behalf of the Brandenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Art in the face of catastrophe – lecture series on sustainability

On Monday, December 8, Prof. Dr. Pierre Wat (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) will give the lecture "Paradise lost? Art facing the anthropocene". Using a selection of current works, the art historian will show how artists manage – or fail – to maintain a sense of wonder in times of predicted catastrophe, while also questioning the power of art throughout history.
