The Hof-Theater Bad Freienwalde will once again be entertaining and cheerful in August: this year's summer comedy is entitled "The Legend of the Hot Summer" and takes the audience back to the atmosphere of times gone by with musical charm. The performances take place in the auditorium of the Hof-Theater – a cultural highlight for a successful summer evening.

Frankfurt's new beginning in sources – The challenges facing the city administration after the end of the Second World War were enormous: a burnt-down city center, an evacuated population that was reluctant to return to Frankfurt, masses of prisoners of war, refugees and displaced persons, as well as an impaired economy and infrastructure. Added to this was the implementation of orders from the Soviet military administration.

From August 3 to 30, the "Klassik ohne Grenzen" festival offers a total of eight concerts in the most beautiful parks in the twin city of Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice under the open sky and with free admission. The accompanying culinary offerings will tempt you to picnic in the countryside. Presenters from Antenne Brandenburg will guide you through the program. After the concerts, professional park tours invite you to rediscover Anger, Gertrauden, Lienau and Lenné Park.

The IHK Ostbrandenburg provides information about various events and dates in September: workshops and webinars, network meetings, the Brandenburg Export Day and the IT Security Day.

The two-month format is currently the only event platform for regionality in Germany that makes regions with all their stakeholders and potential visible and regionality tangible. The events, markets, excursions, webinars and trips that take place annually on and around Thanksgiving Sunday for the Day of the Regions are bundled on an online platform.

During the summer vacations, the Viadrina Municipal Museum is offering four varied vacation activities. The city of Frankfurt (Oder) provides participation free of charge. Due to limited space, please register in good time.

In addition to the Viadrina's summer events, there are also the exhibitions "Modernization blockades in the economy and science of the GDR", "Where is this East Germany actually located?" and "Some were neighbors: perpetration, followership and resistance" to explore.

The lecture period for the summer semester 2025 came to an end on Friday, July 18. However, international networking and content exchange will also take place at Viadrina over the summer. Below you will find an overview of events and dates during the semester break.
