"Best of Poetry Slam" is back at Frankfurt's Theaterhaus Kleist Forum on February 13. The popular poetry slam will take place twice on this day: At 10 a.m. for school classes and at 7:30 p.m. as usual in the evening program. The procedure is the same: Five top poets compete against each other with texts they have written themselves.

The extensive reconstruction measures on the A12 federal freeway to optimize traffic flow in the area of the German-Polish border were successfully completed in December 2025. The new traffic routing was put into operation on the weekend before Christmas. On Wednesday, January 28, the Senate of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) elected Jendrik Fabisch as the new student member of the Viadrina Presidential College. The 21-year-old student will take up office on April 1, succeeding Ira Helten, who shaped the newly created office during her one-year term as the first student member of the Presidential College.
