From the 2024/25 school year, the Karl-Liebknecht-Gymnasium in Frankfurt (Oder) will be setting up a language learning class for Polish for the first time. With the district reform in 1993, implemented under the then Prime Minister Manfred Stolpe, the independent city of Frankfurt (Oder) and the newly founded district of Oder-Spree officially became neighbors. After more than 30 years of good cooperation and neighbourly relations, there was a premiere on Tuesday, 20 February 2024: the administrative heads met together for the first time.
