Anne Voigt has been head of the Frankfurt (Oder) Music School since June 2025. Born in Hamburg, she is a trained saxophonist, music teacher and long-standing head of department with more than 30 years of experience in teaching, ensemble work and artistic practice.

After studying in Hamburg and Berlin, she worked at the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf music school and most recently at the Oder-Spree music school. There she taught both saxophone and clarinet and was responsible for numerous projects in the areas of class music-making and ensemble conducting. As a soloist and orchestral musician, she has performed with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bavarian State Orchestra and the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, among others.

"I am very much looking forward to my new role in Frankfurt (Oder) - to working with the teaching staff, pupils and parents," said Anne Voigt. "The music school is a place of encounters, creativity and cultural education – and I want to further strengthen its role in the city's society."

A particular focus is on strengthening cross-border projects with Poland, including as part of the German-Polish Youth Orchestra and early musical education.
