The construction of the new Tesla Gigafactory is progressing rapidly for all to see. An investment project of this magnitude requires coordinated environmental development that aligns economic, environmental and social requirements.
The region Oderland-Spree with the districts Oder-Spree and Märkisch-Oderland, the city of Frankfurt (Oder) as well as also the PRO EUROPA Viadrina and especially the municipalities in the TESLA environment are facing considerable challenges today regarding various issues in the process of settlements. With these tasks the municipalities in the region "Oderland-Spree" are supported since beginning of the year by a regional management "TESLA surrounding field development", which is worked on by the IPG infrastructure and project development company ltd. and the EBP Germany GmbH.
The regional management is coordinated by the Regional Planning Community-Oderland Spree.
In particular, the TESLA settlement will bring a surge in demand for the designation of new and the expansion of existing industrial estates. The Regional Planning Community-Oderland Spree is tasked with the regional management as a contact and supporter of municipalities, economic developers and companies to take on these challenges of regional development and to shape joint solutions.
