"We are one big family": tickets available free of charge

The city of Frankfurt (Oder) traditionally organizes a special event for senior citizens in the run-up to Christmas – also to thank them for their life's work. Under the motto "We are one big family", Frankfurt's senior citizens aged 65 and over are invited to an atmospheric get-together from December 4 to 8, from 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Exhibition Hall 4. Guests can expect a convivial afternoon with coffee and cake, a show and dancing at the end. There will also be the opportunity to purchase Christmas arrangements and small gifts.

Mobile twin city: transport infrastructure must be adapted to cross-border integration

The best-known planned individual measure of the Frankfurt-Słubice INTERREG project "Mobile Twin City", which was officially launched this week at the Collegium Polonicum in Słubice, is the feasibility study for a second bridge. Uwe Schüler, State Secretary at the Brandenburg Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning (MIL), pledged the support of the state government to the twin city: "A second bridge for Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice is essential in the long term."

Final of this year's city bike ride

On Sunday, September 22, 2024, the closing event for Frankfurt City Cycling will take place at 4 p.m. in front of City Hall. Participants in the city cycling event will be presented with a certificate. In 56 teams, 502 active cyclists have collected almost 70,000 kilometers in more than 5,500 rides so far.
