German-Polish Youth Orchestra performs at Nikolaisaal Potsdam
The German-Polish Youth Orchestra invites you to a New Year's concert entitled "Musik ohne Grenzen – Muzyka bez Granic" on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 2.45 p.m. in the Nikolaisaal Potsdam, Großer Saal, Wilhelm-Staab-Straße 10/11.
Under the direction of Kornela Szczepańska and Hannes Metze-Stuyven, the young musicians from Germany and Poland will perform together on stage. The program includes the double concerto by Johannes Brahms (2nd and 3rd movements) with Jana Kuss (violin) and Mikayel Hakhnazaryan (cello). The concert will be complemented by modern and traditional works as well as well-known film music.
The orchestra has been connecting young people from Frankfurt (Oder) and Zielona Góra for decades and is considered the oldest German-Polish youth orchestra along the Oder-Neisse border.
