Exhibition opening at the memorial

On Thursday, February 22, 2024, the exhibition "Friedrich Wilhelm Höhn. A Prussian police captain in Japan. A Search for Traces 1885–1891" at the Memorial and Documentation Center "Victims of Political Tyranny", Collegienstraße 10. The special exhibition is dedicated to the international interrelationships of Brandenburg-Prussia's police history using the example of Friedrich Wilhelm Höhn (1839-1892), who was born in Güstebiese (Gozdowice) in 1839.

"Adam's Apples" as a black humorous musical comedy at the Kleist Forum

A pitch-black comedy about faith in the good, human weaknesses, divine arbitrariness and the power of self-deception can be seen on February 17 and 18 at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum. "Adam's Apples" is the musical version of the 2005 Danish feature film of the same name, staged by director Reinhard Simon with the ensemble of the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt and a specially assembled project choir.

Town hall as an example of monument promotion

Minister of Culture Dr. Manja Schüle and Minister of Infrastructure Rainer Genilke, together with State Conservator Prof. Dr. Thomas Drachenberg, presented the 2023 balance sheet for monument funding in the state of Brandenburg in Potsdam today. One outstanding example of funding is the conversion and refurbishment of the historic town hall of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) in line with its listed status.
