Unemployment rate in East Brandenburg unchanged at 5.8 percent - In October, a total of 12,932 people were registered as unemployed in the city of Frankfurt (Oder), the district of Märkisch-Oderland and the district of Oder-Spree. That is one person less than in October and 462 more than in November 2021. The unemployment rate remained at 5.8 percent. In November 2021, it had been at 5.5 percent.

Positive prospects for the airport region

All-day hourly service - more services at weekends - short transfer times to the S-Bahn and regional trains: In the counties of Märkisch-Oderland and Oder-Spree, three new PlusBus lines have been operating under the name 'PlusBus Oderland-Spree' since the timetable change on December 11, 2022. District budget Märkisch-Oderland 2023 prepared

The district budget Märkisch-Oderland 2023 has been prepared. According to the current status, the planned expenses of 429 million euros are only matched by income of 419.8 million euros. The shortfall of almost 9.2 million euros will be offset by a withdrawal from the reserve. The rate of assessment of the district levy remains as already in the year 2022 with 39.3 per cent.
