Witty, critical, topical and provocative, Meigl Hoffmann from the Leipziger Pfeffermühle will be taking a cabaret approach to the issues of our time at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum on April 28.

The cabaret artist has stood for critical thinking and good entertainment for three decades. In his solo program "Geölter Witz – Am Rahmen der Mona Lisa", he plays the lonely museum caretaker Manfred Subbotnik, who sits in front of da Vinci's famous painting and starts thinking out loud. About art and a system in which the material seems to be in the foreground, about power, supposed misunderstanding and the conditions of our time. Livened up by songs, this program is entertaining mental work for the audience and an invitation to think and reflect. This is where mother wit meets philosophy and good entertainment meets attitude.
