Under the motto "Europe is here!", the European twin city of Frankfurt (Oder)/Słubice invites all interested parties to a festival on the Polish side of the city bridge on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 11:00 to 17:00.

In addition to a European market, guests can look forward to culinary delights and entertainment, a presentation of the border regions, live music and a photo exhibition along the city bridge.

From 4.00 to 5.00 pm, a festive concert by the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt under the direction of Howard Griffiths will take place in the Collegium Polonicum with welcoming speeches by Brandenburg's Minister-President Dr. Dietmar Woidke, Marcin Jablonski and Marek Cebula, the Marshal and Voivode of the Lubusz Voivodeship and the city leaders of Frankfurt and Słubice.

Free tickets have been made available for this event via the SMOK in Słubice and the German-Polish Tourist Information Office in Frankfurt (Oder), which are now completely sold out.

On Wednesday, May 1, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Poland Radosław Sikorski and his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock are also expected in the twin city, accompanied by their predecessors Joschka Fischer and Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, who met on the bridge between Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice 20 years ago on the day of the EU's eastward enlargement. The program of this high-profile visit also includes a visit to the Europe Festival.
