Living Advent Calendar Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice

Applications possible until September 28
For the 16th time this year, the German-Polish project "Living Advent Calendar Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice" will be implemented. Initiatives, associations, businesses and institutions are being sought that would like to shape the Advent season in an original way and at the same time bring together diverse target groups together with other institutions in order to stimulate exchange between generations and cultures.

New election of arbitrators in preparation

Applications possible until 29 September
The city of Frankfurt (Oder) is looking for applicants for the upcoming new election in December 2023 of the two arbitration boards established in the city area. In the event of a decision to mutually represent the arbitration boards, the election of deputy arbitrators will be dispensable.

"Business in Action" implements 12 projects together

A total of 17 projects were submitted this year, twelve of which were successfully realized or in some cases are still being realized. It was painted, sprayed, dug, concreted and screwed. More than 20 regional companies helped in the process.

Language assessment before school enrollment

In the state of Brandenburg, a high proportion of language problems and disorders (between 20 and 30 percent) are regularly found in school entry examinations of children. At the same time, the coverage rate of daycare for children between the ages of three and school entry is over 90 percent statewide. Daycare centers therefore offer a suitable framework for identifying children with language problems and providing them with targeted support in good time.

Exhibition opening "HALBE STADTansichten" in St. Mary's Church

The project "HALBE STADTansichten" shows the development of Frankfurt's residential area Halbe Stadt (from the Pablo Neruda Block to Poetensteig). Photographs, planning materials, artworks and current views are presented to provide insights into the historical development as well as the current living environments on site. The exhibition will be on view through November 21, 2023.
