Poetry slam master David Friedrich rhymes and performs about the beauty and adversities of life on October 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Frankfurt's Kleist Forum. His monologue "Adhesive Tape - Soundtrack of a Repair" moves between laughter and brooding, depression and hope, is entertaining, poignant, brutally honest and a completely new form of theater.

Applications possible until September 28
For the 16th time this year, the German-Polish project "Living Advent Calendar Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice" will be implemented. Initiatives, associations, businesses and institutions are being sought that would like to shape the Advent season in an original way and at the same time bring together diverse target groups together with other institutions in order to stimulate exchange between generations and cultures.

Applications possible until 29 September
The city of Frankfurt (Oder) is looking for applicants for the upcoming new election in December 2023 of the two arbitration boards established in the city area. In the event of a decision to mutually represent the arbitration boards, the election of deputy arbitrators will be dispensable.

A total of 17 projects were submitted this year, twelve of which were successfully realized or in some cases are still being realized. It was painted, sprayed, dug, concreted and screwed. More than 20 regional companies helped in the process.

In the state of Brandenburg, a high proportion of language problems and disorders (between 20 and 30 percent) are regularly found in school entry examinations of children. At the same time, the coverage rate of daycare for children between the ages of three and school entry is over 90 percent statewide. Daycare centers therefore offer a suitable framework for identifying children with language problems and providing them with targeted support in good time.

To promote innovative product developments and marketing concepts in rural areas, pro agro - Association for the Promotion of Rural Areas in the Brandenburg-Berlin Region e. V. is offering the "pro agro Marketing Award 2024 - natürlich Brandenburg!"

In August, a total of 14,039 people were registered as unemployed in the city of Frankfurt (Oder) and in the Märkisch-Oderland and Oder-Spree districts. That is 477 more than in July and 516 more than in August 2022. The unemployment rate rose to 6.3 percent. In July, it had been at 6.0 and in August last year at 6.1 percent.

To kick off the new season, the team of the Frankfurt Kleist Forum invites its audience to a big theater festival with a technology show, sand painting, silent film concert, children's festival, comedy magic and graffiti workshop. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the entire house is open to all guests young and old.

The lower nature conservation authority of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) invites together with voluntary nature conservation helpers and protected area supervisors to a work assignment as part of the international "World Clean Up Day 2023"

The project "HALBE STADTansichten" shows the development of Frankfurt's residential area Halbe Stadt (from the Pablo Neruda Block to Poetensteig). Photographs, planning materials, artworks and current views are presented to provide insights into the historical development as well as the current living environments on site. The exhibition will be on view through November 21, 2023.
