On Friday, March 24, 2023, the film "December storms. Or: Bumblebees on the butt of power. The End of the Stasi in Frankfurt (Oder)" will be shown. The film by Christian Booß is dedicated to the events of December 5, 1989, when several thousand Frankfurt residents gathered in front of the district administration of the State Security. They demanded entry and demanded the cessation of file destruction.

On October 1, 2022, the districts of Oder-Spree, Märkisch-Oderland, the city of Frankfurt (Oder), the district farmers' associations Oder-Spree and Märkisch Oderland and the city of Beeskow invited to the 1st regional and farmers' market ODERLAND-SPREE on the historic market square in Beeskow.
