European University Viadrina invites prospective students to an open day and a taster course on campus

On Thursday, June 27, the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) invites you to its Open Day. Between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., prospective students can gain an impression of studying at Viadrina and student life in Frankfurt (Oder) during lectures, library tours, campus walks and a residence hall tour. Staff and students will be on hand at information stands to answer any questions that may arise.

About the program

In specialist lectures, prospective students will learn what to expect when studying cultural studies, economics and law at the European University. In addition, academics will provide practical insights into their specialist areas. The topics range from the impact of European law on professional soccer and punishable violence during sit-in blockades to East-West contrasts in Europe and the question of how to invest profitably in the future. In a central lecture, Viadrina lawyer Prof. Dr. Philipp Hacker will talk about whether the law can keep up with developments in artificial intelligence.
In addition to the lectures, those interested can get to know the university, the campus and the city on guided tours and walks.

Schnupperstudium

If you would like to find out more about studying at the European University Viadrina, you can attend various seminars and lectures and explore the campus between June 6 and July 7 as part of the Schnupperstudium. There is a wide range of courses from the Faculty of Cultural Studies, the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Law to choose from. In addition, there are guided campus tours every Tuesday and Thursday during this period; the meeting point is always 1.30 p.m. in the foyer of the Audimax building, Logenstraße 4, in Frankfurt (Oder). For the complete campus feeling, prospective students can eat in the canteen with a canteen band at the student price and stay overnight in one of the student residences.
