Thierbachshof presented a donation of 150 euros to the Steinhöfel youth fire department as part of its atmospheric Christmas market last Sunday. With this gesture, operators Anne-Kathrin Kuhlemann and Markus Haastert thanked the young firefighters for their exemplary commitment, especially in the area of recruiting young people for the indispensable tasks of the volunteer fire department.

The pre-Christmas season is here and the town of Bad Freienwalde invites you to a special experience: the Advent magic in the castle park from December 13 to 15, which is supported by the town's associations and Bad Freienwalde Tourismus GmbH and the host Michael Linckersdorff Foundation. Amidst the festively illuminated backdrop of the castle park, visitors can look forward to a magical Christmas market that will delight young and old alike.

Artists can currently register until Tuesday, December 17 for the Open Studios on the first weekend in May (May 3 and 4, 2025) to open their studios or take part in the joint exhibition. At the event, visitors will have the opportunity to talk to the artists and find out more about the art scene in the twin city.

The presentation of the anthology "Grenzüberschreitende Daseinsvorsorge. Status and Perspectives in European Interdependent Spaces" at the European University Viadrina has to be postponed due to illness. The event of the Viadrina Center B/ORDERS IN MOTION will be held in the summer semester 2025. Further information will follow.

The "Our village has a future" competition, which is held throughout Germany in successive rounds, offers participating villages the opportunity to show how they actively and proactively shape the structural, economic and cultural development of their living environment. The award ceremony took place on 23.11.2024 in the Kreiskulturhaus in Seelow. Many stakeholders from the participating villages came together for the ceremony.

The enchanting actress Suzanne von Borsody will be presenting her new Christmas program "Tannen lächeln elektrische Liebe" on 8 December at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum. The audience can look forward to a reading with charm and depth and many lovingly wrapped literary gifts. She will be accompanied musically by the duo Feliz, consisting of bassist Kurt Holzkämper and Omar Plascenica on vibraphone.

A candlelight Christmas concert with organ and trumpet will be held on Sunday, December 8 at 5 p.m. in the church Neulietzegöricke, in the oldest colonist village in the Oderbruch region. Admission is free, donations are welcome for the organ. A warm drink and snacks will be provided.

The Theater des Lachens tells the humorous and imaginative story of a hungry fox and a clever goose that stubbornly refuses to serve as a Christmas roast in this year's Christmas tale. "A Goose's Special Christmas" premieres on December 8 at 3 pm on the studio stage in the Kleist Forum. The following week, it will be shown in the morning program for nursery and school children.
