Jobcenter Oder-Spree celebrates its 20th anniversary and looks positively to the future

The Oder-Spree municipal job center is starting the new year with an anniversary: 20 years since it was founded in 2005. It was a time in which the Oder-Spree district faced an enormous challenge, as the unemployment rate was almost 20 percent. Since the job center was founded, the labour market situation has developed positively. Today, the unemployment rate is around 6.4 percent - a significant decrease that reflects a stable and sustainable development of the labor market.

In it, he describes in literary terms the life of Anton Wilhelm Amo, who became known as the first African-born philosopher in the German-speaking world in the 18th century.

Development of the industrial area on the A12 is progressing: Polish road opened

Since Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 12:00 noon, Polnische Straße has been completely reopened to traffic after a full closure of around seven months. The road connection built in 2021 from Polnische Straße in the Frankfurt (Oder) South freight village (GVZ) to the B 112 was extended by an additional lane over a length of 700 m in order to increase the efficiency of public transport access to GVZ-Süd.

Wim Jonas Niemand from Neuenhagen and Friederike Schick from Altlandsberg accepted an unusual invitation to perform at the Nikolaisaal Potsdam on December 6. As a young piano duo, they were able to perform a piano concert in the state capital accompanied by the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt.
