The two-month format is currently the only event platform for regionality in Germany that makes regions with all their stakeholders and potential visible and regionality tangible. The events, markets, excursions, webinars and trips that take place annually on and around Thanksgiving Sunday for the Day of the Regions are bundled on an online platform.

During the summer vacations, the Viadrina Municipal Museum is offering four varied vacation activities. The city of Frankfurt (Oder) provides participation free of charge. Due to limited space, please register in good time.

In order to protect themselves effectively against cyber attacks and significantly increase the level of information security, eight universities in the state of Brandenburg are working together on the "Information Security in the Network" (InfoSec) project. The European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences are jointly leading the five-year project. The aim is to set up the universities in the state of Brandenburg structurally and organizationally in such a way that they will be ready for certification according to established IT security standards at the end of the project.

A few weeks ago, the collection of Neumark silver was ceremoniously presented to the public at the Viadrina Municipal Museum. With the support of the Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Museums Viadrina e.V., it has since been possible to add another piece to the Frankfurt silver collection.

A framework agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA was formally concluded on the night of July 28, 2025: US tariffs on EU imports now amount to 15 percent.
