From May onwards, the presence centre will relaunch with a further developed concept at a new location in Beeskow. Under the new name Presence Centre Oderland-Spree | Beeskow, the Presence Centre is expanding its reach beyond municipal boundaries to the entire Oderland-Spree region and, with its local roots in the Alte Tischlerei in Beeskow, will also have a permanent location for exchange, networking and collaboration.
The presence centre will continue to be involved at its old location even after the move from Fürstenwalde to Beeskow, including with popular and established formats such as the Science Slam, the Coder Dojo and the film workshop.
The regional development strategy of the state of Brandenburg provides orientation for the further development of the presence centre. True to the motto "Connecting strengths", the presence centre will focus more strongly on transferring knowledge to society in future. In doing so, it will focus on dialogue and participation formats and sees itself as a reliable university partner for regional and scientific stakeholders in order to promote future-oriented development in the Oderland-Spree region.
