Fighting child poverty - regulating basic child benefits soon on a nationwide basis: The East German cities appeal to the traffic light coalition to agree very soon on the child basic security, so that child poverty is fought effectively. The cities will cooperate actively in the implementation for a family support from one hand.

On April 26, 2023, the traditional spring cleaning took place in the southern area of the Lenné Park in reference to the International Arbor Day as well as in the context of the "Social Day" of the branch of Deutsche Bank AG. The focus of the joint participatory action was the basic cleaning and care of the children's play area, the cleaning of the park benches, the collection of trash and the care of the path and shrub areas.

On 26.04. at 2 p.m. in Schulzendorf (near Wriezen) the first MOL boxes are released for commuters. The MOL boxes are smart bike boxes that are located at bus stops and allow commuters to ride their bike or e-bike to the bus and safely store the bike there.

April 1, 2023 marked the start of the new funding period for the Basic Education Center in Frankfurt (Oder). This means that the work can be continued in a new dimension. The project is initially funded until the end of 2025 by the state of Brandenburg and from resources of the European Social Fund Plus with a total of 431,902.90 euros.
