The city of Frankfurt (Oder) has once again successfully participated in the city competition Papieratlas. The previous calendar year was considered for this.

The focus of the competition was the workspace in the new staircase to be created, which connects the various floors, the historic hall as well as the atrium. The aim of the process was the artistic examination of the significance of the town hall as a central building of the democratic urban society - a place where decisions on urban development have been made for centuries and which will now, even more than before, be an open forum for the diverse urban society.

The East Brandenburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry honors best exam takers from 2022 and volunteer examiners for voluntary commitment.

On October 1, 2022, the districts of Oder-Spree, Märkisch-Oderland, the city of Frankfurt (Oder), the district farmers' associations Oder-Spree and Märkisch Oderland and the city of Beeskow invited to the 1st regional and farmers' market ODERLAND-SPREE on the historic market square in Beeskow. Subsequently, the "Day of the Butter Bread" was celebrated at Beeskow Castle.

Brandenburg presented itself as a strong innovative location for rail transport technology. Oderland-Spree was part of the stand of the capital region Berlin Brandenburg with a total of 80 companies and institutions.

For the fourth time, the economic development stakeholders exchanged views on the joint focal points of their work, such as the "Sustainable Business Park Development" round table or the new settlements and current planning processes in the region.

The regional management to support the "Tesla environment development" together with the regional planning office today presented the new regional brochure for the Oderland-Spree economic region at this year's InnoTrans 2022.

During the second round table, the topics and issues surrounding the topic of sustainable business park development were narrowed down and the approach for the upcoming events was jointly agreed.

The first "Sustainable Industrial Estates" round table was held successfully with more than 25 participants. A survey among the participants revealed a need for further events on topics such as "Making existing areas sustainable", energy supply and management of commercial areas.
