From this week until Christmas, the "Green Market" in Frankfurt (Oder) will take place a little further north than usual. The reason for this is the construction and implementation of the Frankfurt CityWeihnacht, which will once again take place this year on the lower Brunnenplatz and the market square between the cinema and the town hall.
The "Green Market" will be held until December 21, 2023 directly north of the market square between Frankfurt Town Hall, the Sieben Raben and Carl-Philipp-Emanuel-Bach-Straße.
Mayor Claus Junghanns explains: "It was important to everyone involved that we not only have a wonderful Christmas market in the city center in the run-up to Christmas, but that the traders of the "Green Market" can also offer their goods to the people of Frankfurt as usual on Thursdays. This is why the operators of CityWeihnacht and the "Green Market" have agreed on this solution with the departments for commercial and road traffic matters and the city's business development department and implemented it together."
After the Christmas holidays, the "Green Market" will be back on the market square in front of the town hall on Thursdays as usual.
