Vacations slow down the start of training

As of August 31, 1,295 new training contracts had been registered with the IHK Ostbrandenburg for the starting training year. This is 56 fewer contracts than at the same time last year. One of the reasons for this is that the start of training this year falls during the summer vacations; many school leavers have not yet made their decision or the contracts have not yet been submitted to the IHK.

Start training and studying at the city administration

On Monday, September 1, 2025, Mayor Claus Junghanns welcomed 11 young men and women who will begin their training or dual studies at the city administration of Frankfurt (Oder) with immediate effect or from October. The trainees and students will complete the practical part of their training or studies in the specialist departments of the municipal administration and also in the rescue station and at Frankfurt (Oder) Hospital, among other places.
