Award-winning tourist information: Frankfurt (Oder) receives i-Mark again

The German-Polish Tourist Information Office in Frankfurt (Oder) has once again been awarded the i-Mark by the German Tourism Association (DTV). With 92 percent in the quality test, it achieved its best result to date since the first certification in 2013 and thus continues to be one of the leading tourist information centers in Germany that meet the quality requirements to a particularly high degree.

With the signing by Kamila Szwajkowska, Managing Director of the Western Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZIPH) in Gorzów Wielkopolski, the "Cross-border Appeal of the Economy" is now officially supported by a total of four partners. Commercial rent: Participate and benefit

IHK Ostbrandenburg is collecting data for the new rent index until the end of August – craft businesses are also invited to take part: The East Brandenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) is currently updating the rent index for commercial properties and is asking companies to take part in the data collection by means of an anonymous survey. InfoSec joint project – Brandenburg universities join forces for information security

In order to protect themselves effectively against cyber attacks and significantly increase the level of information security, eight universities in the state of Brandenburg are working together on the "Information Security in the Network" (InfoSec) project. The European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences are jointly leading the five-year project. The aim is to set up the universities in the state of Brandenburg structurally and organizationally in such a way that they will be ready for certification according to established IT security standards at the end of the project.

US customs duties: bitter compromise for Brandenburg's economy

A framework agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA was formally concluded on the night of July 28, 2025: US tariffs on EU imports now amount to 15 percent. This is significantly lower than the 30 percent originally announced, but much higher than in the past. For this reason, the chambers of industry and commerce in Brandenburg continue to warn of the economic consequences of the settled customs dispute for export-oriented industries if there are no long-term agreements on relief for all industries in the near future.
