Cycling concept in progress: public participation begins

Promoting environmentally friendly mobility and improving the cycling situation in the city are important concerns for the city administration of Frankfurt (Oder). In order to significantly improve the conditions for cycling in the city, citizens are also invited to contribute their suggestions and comments to a new cycling concept. From 23 March to 3 May 2026, anyone interested in cycling has the opportunity to locate problems, conflicts and suggestions for improvement on an interactive online map and describe them using the comment function.

"Modular research and innovation factory for AI & microelectronics starts" – first approved AI-DISCO module begins work

BMFTR funds AI-DISCO with 15 million euros - open platform to bring energy-efficient AI to where data is generated. The Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) has approved funding of 15 million euros for the AI-DISCO - Edge Cloud AI for Distributed Sensing & Computing project. AI-DISCO is the first module of the R+I Factory (Research and Innovation Factory AI & Microelectronic), a novel, nationwide, modular research and innovation structure at the interface of artificial intelligence and microelectronics.

German and Polish business representatives call for the rapid expansion of border bridges

The IHK Ostbrandenburg, the Western IHK Gorzów and the Kostrzyn-Słubice AG special economic zone in Kostrzyn (Küstrin) are jointly calling for the construction of new border bridges and the modernisation of existing ones between Germany and Poland to be expedited.
