Dr Manja Schüle, Minister for Culture, welcomes the future structure of the municipal financial equalisation scheme, on which the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government, and the umbrella organisations reached agreement today in Potsdam. Among other things, it was decided that, in order to preserve the theatre and orchestra sector, the allocation from the financial equalisation fund would be increased by 8 million euros to 30 million euros from 2027.

A drone-based 5G solution provides a broadband network, enabling not only communication between emergency services but also the transmission of real-time situational updates and the remote control of robots. The Brandenburg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has approved the establishment of a three-form-group secondary school at the Gruscheweg site in Neuenhagen, near Berlin, to open at the start of the 2027/2028 school year. The European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) has successfully implemented the European environmental management system EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme). With the publication of its first-ever environmental statement, the university is making its environmental performance, objectives and measures transparent and documenting its progress towards more sustainable campus operations.

Discussions on future issues relating to the development of commercial land, mobility and regional cooperation centred on the shared goal of developing viable strategies for strong and sustainable regional development.
