Thomas Müntzer at the HanseStadtFest "Bunter Hering"

On July 13 and 14, 2024, the Hanseatic City Festival "Bunter Hering" on the Holzmarkt will be enriched by historical play scenes that shed light on the life of the preacher Thomas Müntzer. Thomas Müntzer was a leading preacher in the Peasants' War of 1524/1525 and an important representative of the Renaissance and Reformation. The historical play scenes offer guests of the HanseStadtFest an impressive journey into the past.

Guided tours of the town hall during the HanseStadtFest "Bunter Hering"

As part of the HanseStadtFestival "Bunter Hering", guided tours of the renovated town hall, Marktplatz 1, will be offered on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14, 2024 – in accordance with the expert approvals granted up to this point. On both days, two simultaneous guided tours of a maximum of 60 minutes will take place at 10.00 a.m., 12.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. Guided tours are offered for Polish-speaking visitors at the following times: Saturday and Sunday, at 1.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. respectively.

Consumer campaign starts in July – Ministry provides significant budget

With the onset of the Ukraine crisis and the inflation-related price trends for food across the board, the reluctance to buy is also affecting small and medium-sized companies in the food industry in Brandenburg. 29th Brandenburger Landpartie a complete success

In perfect weather, around 75,000 visitors made their way to rural Brandenburg on the second weekend in June to find out about agriculture, regional products and economic cycles, discover the region's farmers and get to know the faces behind the products better at the largest state-wide event. The organizers, pro agro e.V., the Brandenburg State Farmers' Association and the Brandenburg Rural Women's Association, and the almost 150 hosts were very satisfied.

Circus show with more than 3400 guests at the Kleist Forum

Curtain up: The Fantadu Children's and Youth Circus will be performing its new show "Toi Toi Toi" in the Great Hall of Frankfurt's Kleist Forum from July 11 to 16. Hanseatic City Festival "Bunter Hering"

According to the organizer, Messe- und Veranstaltungs GmbH (MuV), the "Bunte Hering" promises to be the largest German-Polish folk festival in East Brandenburg. The traditional evening concert by the Singakademie on Thursday, July 11 at 10 p.m. in St. Mary's Church marks the start of three days of music on four stages. The Hanseatic City Festival will be officially opened the following day at 6 p.m. on Brunnenplatz by Frankfurt's Lord Mayor René Wilke and his new Słubice counterpart Marzena Słodownik with the tapping of a beer barrel by Frankfurter Brauhaus and 1,000 fish sandwiches for the physical well-being of visitors.
