For International Women's Day 2025, the Kleist Museum, the Brandenburg Literature Council and the City and Regional Library have put together a literary program as part of the 35th Brandenburg Women's Weeks.
March 8, 6 p.m., Kleist Museum, opening book show: Just a footnote in history?
The staff of the City and Regional Library clarify the question of whether it is worth reading footnotes in the form of a book exhibition. The exhibition will remain open to the public at the Kleist Museum until March 23. Admission is free.
March 8, 6.30 pm, Kleist Museum, reading and discussion:Three East German women get drunk and found the ideal state
Annett Gröschner, Peggy Mädler and Wenke Seemann talk about themselves as "East German women", about the happiness of crooked lives, about the present with its constantly intruding past. They drink, laugh and wrestle. It is about scraps of memory and contradictions, about the complexity of imprints and about ideals that have become alien over the years. Admission is free, donations are welcome.
