STADTRADELN 2025: Frankfurt (Oder) draws a positive balance

This year's STADTRADELN in Frankfurt (Oder) has come to a successful end. From September 8 to 28, 39 teams with a total of 500 cyclists actively participated. Together, they covered 91,088 kilometers by bike – and thus avoided 14 tons of CO₂ emissions. The participants contributed to the overall achievement with a great deal of commitment and creativity.

The East Brandenburg labor market in September

Autumn revival on the labor market after a rise in unemployment: In September, a total of 14,825 people were registered as unemployed in the city of Frankfurt (Oder), the district of Märkisch-Oderland and the district of Oder-Spree. This is 515 fewer than in August and 542 more than in September 2024. The unemployment rate is 6.5 percent. In August, it stood at 6.7 percent and in September last year at 6.3 percent.

Municipal association to make healthcare in the Oder-Spree district fit for the future

The Oder-Spree district is planning a comprehensive reorganization of its municipal companies in the health and care sector. In future, the district's ambulance service, its retirement homes and the Oder-Spree Hospital in Beeskow with its supplementary services in the Medical Care Center (MVZ) are to be brought together under the umbrella of GesundVerbund Oder-Spree GmbH.
