On Friday 11 September, Frankfurt (Oder) will once again be transformed into a vibrant cultural hub: the Museum Night is celebrating its 26th edition. As a fixture in Frankfurt’s cultural calendar, the event attracts hundreds of visitors every year. This year, the City and Regional Library has a special highlight in store: it is offering an exclusive exhibition space for local artists.
The library is looking for a creative talent from Frankfurt who will have the opportunity to present their own work to a large, culture-loving audience during Museum Night. The library has deliberately set no limits on the choice of art form: from painting and photography through to graphic art, sculpture and modern mixed-media works, every artistic style is welcome.
“With this initiative, we specifically aim to provide a platform for our city’s creative diversity,” says the library.
The submitted works will be reviewed and selected by a panel of experts.
Interested artists can apply for the exhibition until 31 July.
The application process is straightforward and takes place digitally. The following must be submitted:
- a brief artistic CV or a short introduction to yourself
- up to five photographs of representative artworks (including details of titles, dimensions and techniques used)
- full contact details
The documents can be sent by email with the subject line ‘Museum Night 2026 – Art Competition’ to verwaltung@srbffo.de
