Three weeks ago, the Oder-Spree district launched the RückCARE parcel campaign. The yellow parcels are a loving gesture to remind people who have moved away of their homeland and to make it appealing for them to return.

Manuela Labahn, head of the social benefits department for asylum seekers in the Oder-Spree district, hands over one of the first payment cards to an asylum seeker. This means that asylum seekers can only withdraw a monthly amount specified by the district administration from their social benefits in cash.

Studying corporate taxation and learning the profession in practice at the same time - this is made possible by the new dual Bachelor's degree course in Business Taxation at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). Prospective students can enrol on this course for the first time in the winter semester 2025/26 and study for seven semesters while working in tax consulting firms and companies in Berlin and Brandenburg.
