The German-Polish Tourist Information Office in Frankfurt (Oder) has once again been awarded the i-Mark by the German Tourism Association (DTV). With 92 percent in the quality test, it achieved its best result to date since the first certification in 2013 and thus continues to be one of the leading tourist information centers in Germany that meet the quality requirements to a particularly high degree.

The nationwide i-Marke quality seal stands for a high level of service orientation, comprehensive tourist information and modern infrastructure. It is based on a multi-stage test procedure: First, 14 minimum criteria such as accessibility, opening hours and staff qualifications are assessed, followed by a comprehensive on-site inspection based on 40 additional criteria – from advice and variety of offers to digitalization, sustainability and regional networking.

The tourist information office in Frankfurt (Oder) impressed in almost all areas. The friendly, individual and competent advice for guests, the modern equipment with Wi-Fi and information point and the bilingual information service in German and Polish were particularly highlighted. The variety of bookable services, such as city tours, event tickets or tablets for digital discovery routes, was also rated positively. The facility is open on all seven days of the week, barrier-free and easily accessible thanks to its central location in the immediate vicinity of the town hall and the Oder river.

The commitment to sustainability was also highlighted: free tap water is on offer, souvenirs are sourced locally and information can be accessed via QR codes outside of opening hours.

"We are delighted to receive this award and are proud of our best result to date. It is a valuable confirmation of the commitment of our entire team – and at the same time an incentive to continue to consistently develop our quality and service," says Elisabeth Latta, responsible for the tourist information.

The award is valid for three years, after which a new quality check will follow.
