The AGRARGENOSSENSCHAFT NEUZELLE, an agricultural enterprise equipped with state-of-the-art technology and "scattered" across 18 communities and 13 locations in south-east Brandenburg, was awarded the pro agro Marketing Prize 2024 in the direct marketing category. As active cooperative members, the more than 60 families rely on closed cycles as a quality feature.
"We are a multi-family farm in south-east Brandenburg," says the farm's website. That sounds a bit like an understatement when you know what lies behind this self-description: a company equipped with state-of-the-art technology and "scattered" across 18 communities or 13 locations, which is owned by over 60 families, i.e. active cooperative members. If you add the salaried employees, the total number of employees adds up to 150; and the 5,000 hectares of agricultural land are spread "like a large patchwork quilt from one tip to the other" over around 50 kilometers, according to Frank Matheus, Chairman of the Board of the cooperative and thus head of the multifunctional company, which relies on closed cycles as a quality feature.
