An illuminated façade has already cast a new light on the abandoned school building in Bischofstraße in Frankfurt (Oder), arousing curiosity and anticipation for what will soon be happening inside. Even before the premiere of "JACQUELINE" about school days and growing up in the GDR, the light installation will be open to the public on Tuesday, July 29 and Friday, August 1 after dark at 9:30 pm.

For the projection, Frankfurters opened their private photo albums and - just like the contemporary witnesses on whose stories the play is based - gave an insight into their very private memories.

For the performance "JACQUELINE", the doors and windows of the empty school will be reopened from August 5 to 31 and life will return to the corridors and classrooms, at least temporarily. Between original objects and furniture, the audience goes on a journey through the last decade of the GDR and experiences scenes that reflect a piece of the life story of adolescents in their school years up to the fall of communism.

The premiere on August 5 and the performance on August 24 are already sold out.
