Format and location development, village and regional development with creative means are an original part of what makes the region attractive and worth living in. In the federal funding program "Faktor K – Forschung zum Faktor Kultur in ländlichen Räumen", the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and the weissensee kunsthochschule berlin are investigating the diverse structures, conditions and effects of artists and cultural workers and their networks in eastern Brandenburg. The question of social participation plays an important role as a driver for changes in the region that are geared towards the common good.
- What potential do art, culture and architecture offer for village and regional development?
- What scope for facilitation is there?
- Who gives whom the mandate to act here?
- What can an enabling culture look like at the official-institutional level?
- What cultural-political course is needed?
